Delete individual content in the app

You can delete your content yourself at any time without deleting your account. In the app you can delete individual projects, defects and their photos, and exported reports. When you are signed in, these deletions also remove the copies synced to our cloud.

Delete your entire account

In the Inspex app, open Settings and select "Delete account". Review the warning, confirm your identity, then select "Delete permanently". Your account and associated data are deleted immediately.

If you cannot access the app, email info@insodec.com.au with the subject "Delete my account" from the email address on your account. We action verified email requests within 30 days and confirm when deletion is complete.

What is deleted

On account deletion we remove your account and sign-in identifier, your email address and name, and the inspection content synced to our cloud — your projects, defects, defect photos, voice-note transcriptions, GPS locations and report data.

The in-app account deletion flow also removes data held only inside the app on that device. Copies you previously exported or shared outside Inspex remain under your control.

What we keep, and for how long

We may retain a limited amount of data where the law requires it — for example transaction and tax records relating to purchases, kept for the period required by Australian law. These records are not used for any other purpose.

Residual copies in routine backups are cleared within 90 days of deletion from the live service.

AI scans: the photo and context sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a finding are processed transiently and are not retained by the provider or used to train models, so there is no separate AI store to delete.
